Gokaiger Episode 29 Review: Rampaging Ahim!

Well I may not seen every episode of Abaranger, but I know the feeling it has and the characters as well. Abaranger was more of a comedic series and I liked that because it got me laughing pretty good and yet being a serious series as well. Well I'm not reviewing Abaranger yet..... Well this episode of Gokaiger starts with Lord Gils having a rare cold and it can only be cured with women's joy, Barizorg sends the MOTW to get some. The team ate a resturant and Gai is wondering why Ahim is on the team because she was a princess and she acts unlike a usual pirate. Well they fight the monster in the mechs already since he can make himself grow and shrink. When he shrunk he got in the Gozyujin and tried to control it, but he ditched that and went into Gokai-oh. He thought they wouldnt fire, but Marve, Joe, and Luka didnt care as they begun to shoot him down which damages the cockpit. Soon they get to the room area which is odd because Gokai Galleon is in Gokai-oh form wouldnt they be on the walls by now, oh well dont ask questions. The monster also shrinks and gets in Luka's suit (whats with monsters going for Luka?) well at first Marve was going to help, but Don reminded him of the price, but he doesnt care. Luckily Ahim comes and sprays him down with bug spray and he retreats damaging Gokai Galleon. There we see Yukito (AbareBlue) and Emiri and they discuss about how Abaranger's powers can be used with Gokai-oh. Emiri even knew that and she calls herself a member of the team even though Yukito doesnt say so like anyone would have.

Duirng the repairs Ahim says to Gai that its time to get married and of course who wouldnt freak out it comes out of nowhere! Now at a church Gai is already in a tux as the group gives him some advice, hehe. Well Ahim is already in a wedding dress as well (where did she get that?) and its time for the kiss, but not before the famous pause moment that Abaranger is know for. The monster came back and is waiting for the right moment to take the joy, and he comes out right before they were going to kiss and Ahim shoots him. It was all a trap of course because if it really happened Gai had to fight so many fan boys. Ahim thinks of a plan again and at first she dresses as a highschool girl and tries to take the staff he has, it fails, but she tries again as she kicks him to another room. Ahim comes as a nurse and tries to put him to sleep (not killing him, a sleeping serum) and tried to go for the staff again. Its not working as she takes him outside where she is in a police uniform and drives into him! There she gets out of the car and smashes the staff with her foot, holy hell! Soon the rest of the team show up as well as Yukito and Emiri who tell them about Abaranger's powers, but Ahim needs another key. Luckily Emiri made her own key with the powers of ABAREPINK! Even Gai had no idea who she was and she is even Akito's wife?!, but the team transform into the Abarangers, and yea Abarepink has no powers at all as Ahim leaves the fighting to the rest of the team. They finish him off Gold Mode and the group sword and gun finisher.

In the mecha fight Gokai-oh uses the arms of Gozyujin to fight and it was a quick fight showing the finisher which was the head and drill attacking him mostly. Back in the ship then the crew wanted to see Ahim actually doing this, but Gai was taking pictures so he got some great shots even though he was mostly in the background. Well Ahim is embarrassed because everyone knows and is seeing what she mostly did. Also Gai now sees why she is on the team because she can actually go crazy. Also Yukito says the more you rampage the stronger you get. I will easily believe that. So this was another good tribute episode it was comedic like the Abaranger series and it brings back Emiri which was smart and funny because seeing an Abarepink key was cute. Also I love the pause moment I tried so hard trying to find that picture too, but I got nothing. Well that moments just got me cracking up because it reminded me so much of Abareranger and seeing the two returning characters say whats going on made it much better. Overall this is a good episode with Ahim going all out and good comedy that Abaranger had, B+

The Return of Gai Yuuki Part 2

More pictures are coming out for the Jetman tribute and oh my goodness HES GOING TO FIGHT ALONG WITH THE TEAM! I have a feeling that this is going to be one of my favoirte tributes and this could mean that more veterans could fight along with the team because they can easily get their keys back and they can be taken out of them too. Now I think this was Aka Red's mission in the first place to return the powers to their owners. Thats what I think, but we will see what happens, still no picture of what the Jet Gokai-oh is though. There is also a pic of a villian so that will highly be the villian for the episode that means no Yutaka for this tribute, but there are three more left. Now I'm going to talk about the ending of Jetman so again if you didnt see it GO TO THE NEXT PARAGRAPH! We finally find out that yes Gai Yuuki did die from being stabbed. Now people will go, "huh?" Its true though because Gai has been resurrected to fight again which is possible because we did see Dragon Ranger, TimeFire, and Abare Killer talk to Gai from afar. So this opens more possibilties of who could come in tribute episodes.

Also pics of Gozyu Gokai-oh are now realeased and its just Gokai-oh with Gozyujin's arms which is still nice to see because this means that the two mechs can easily combine which will happen when they use Go-onger's powers. Now what could this possibly mean for other powers that Gai has like Timeranger's and Zyuranger's. High chance they will be different because the other two have a drill so I cant wait for those powers.

Also another picture with Basco and his extra hero keys, but that isnt the important part here. In the corner we see Gokai Red holding onto a cannon which will be a finisher weapon for the team. This is tributing the common finisher weapon that has been used in sentai a lot, so its nice to see the new team get one as well. Lately these type of finisher weapons have been linking weapons to make it, but ones like Gekiranger's and mostly the showa sentai mostly had a big cannon to summon and finish off the monster. One thing I am hoping for in the Jetman tribute though is to hear Black Condor's theme during the fight!

The Return of Gai Yuuki!

Well now there is now a picture of the fan favoirte of Jetman appearing in Gokaiger and he still looks good even after 20 years! This is the first pre zyuranger tribute and I really wonder how Gai is holding the celluar? Did someone just drop it or did he steal it like the badass he is, we have to wait to find out because the episode is coming out in September. Now this is the only pic I could find on the Jetman tribute so far and it is almost September and if you remember my post about possible team ups will Yutaka return to play one of his roles again? I am really hoping so and maybe Toei is keeping that a secert until the previews of the episode. If not there are three other sentai series they can do it in even though those can be hard to do. Well at least we can see Gai come back and if you say Jetman you knows what happens at the end of the series, but how will it be explained. Ok this will be spoilers for the ending of Jetman so if you havent seen it GO TO THE NEXT PARAGRAPH! In the ending of Jetman, Gai was stabbed by a thug and still went to the wedding and it looked liked he died on the park bench. There is easily a chance though he survived though since it was one stab. There is the manga though and how the team had to get a new team mate, but we still dont know if that was Canon or not. There are also rumors going around about past sentai being revived for the battle, but did Dragon Ranger, Time Fire, and Abare Killer die again? Hopefully that will all be explained in the episode or it could even be a two parter all we know?

There is also more confirmation on the return of Yellow Lion, Jou from Liveman as it seems the episode could focus on the friend Jou lost during the series. Again I havent seen all of Liveman so dont spoil it for me alright (I'm trying to find it). So I really have no thought on this tribute episode, but it is another pre zyu one so I'm hyped. Also this still could be a Yutaka moment, but who knows Toei can do unexpected things. There is also the fact of Abare Blue coming back, but I also heard that Yellow will come back as well which will be nice because she did retire from acting so seeing her as her Sentai role for one final time will be nice. I saw about ten episode of Abaranger, but I stopped because I soon couldnt find good subs for the other episodes. I do know that Abare Blue himself did appear in the Eternal movie so maybe that is how Toei got him to play that role again. We are also getting tributes even though the Gokaigers have their powers already this could possibly mean that there could be special powers just for Gokai-oh because the Abare Killer is used for Gozyujin. I wonder what kind of powers that could be though same for Jetman and Liveman.

She is one my favorite yellow warriors, YEA!

For abaranger maybe it can be a summon finisher with Gokai-oh acting like the Bakuryuu Brachiosaurs and summon all the other mechs from the series. Jetman could have a bird transformation for Gokai-oh and the finisher could be it forming the Icarus Haken for the final attack. Liveman could be equips from Super Live Robo and doing the same finisher.

Gokaiger Episode 22 Review: I Want to Ride my Bicycle!

Well this episode starts out with Gai showing the team his Super Sentai Encyclopedia since he is tired of them messing up with his team combinations. Everyone takes a look expect for Joe who says he needs to go shopping. Gai follows him, but first a kid who is riding his bike finds the Zangyack doing something and he is spotted which leads to the two defending the boy. Gai wants Joe to become Tricera Ranger as he transforms into Dragon Ranger, but Joe transformed into AbareBlue because they are both dinosaur themed. Gai deals with it though as they fight off the creature who drops a stone and gets away with it anyways. First they attend to the child who wants to meet his friend at top of a mountain for sight seeing of shooting stars. Gai says that he think the kid is to reckless riding his bike so far, but Joe encourages him to continue because it reminds him of Marvelous. Of course the usual sneeze scene happens then with Marvelous (I think I always see that in everything from Japan, series, movies, and games).

I know this isnt from episode 22, but I cant find any pics of it and its similar expect for the other members and no Gai, but hey there is a kid and a bike.

So the team find out about the stone and if it connects to a death stone at the top of a mountain it will cause great destruction. Guess which mountain it is? The same one the kid is going to, of course. Joe and Gai remember so the the team get to the mountain, but the Zangyack is already putting the final step in motion, as they fight grunts Joe and Gai find the child again. Gai wants him to be safe, but Joe keeps encouraging him to continue. Soon they catch up to the MOTW who has already completed the plan and with the power of the stones he is sending a meteor to Earth. The team try to quickly finish him with the Goseiger, Dairanger, and Ohranger powers, but even with that he still stands as he is grown big before the final blow. The team go into their mechas and finish him off with Shinken Gokaioh AGAIN! Well the meteor is getting to close and Joe throws Gai at the meteor as Gai uses Gojyujin to drill through it and destory it, even though the rubble could still cause some issues, oh well. So the kid meets his friend and thats mostly it.

At least the fight was enjoyable.

So yea I didnt really care for this episode, it was weak. I know its a filler episode, but still most of those were still entertaining to watch. The episode was just plain Joe meets kid and just encourages him to continue even though he probably didnt need more encouragment to continue. The fight with the MOTW was fun though seeing Goseiger (seeing a small GoseiKnight was funny), Dairanger (using the Dairinkens was a good nostalgic moment for me), and Ohranger (with the Dynamic finisher attack and seeing Gai only doing the "Ole" pose) So at least the fight was strong because everything else was plain. Next episode could blow people's mind if the Titanium Ranger does appear, but I dont care about that the most. GoPink is coming back and I think she is going to motivate the two other females a lot about the real importantance of rescuing someone.

Also quick notice about Joe using Abaranger and not Zyuranger was funny if you think about it more. First Abaranger did only have five members, but four of those colors were the same as Zyuranger and both series had a warrior die.
