Movie Month: Cho Den-o and Decade Review

I have briefly mentioned this movie and I don't like it at all. So I am now going to tear this movie apart because I hate so much. Well the plot of this movie starts with a kid named Yu as he is having trouble getting used to the country life. The boy is bullied and wants to go back to his old home. He runs outside one day and finds himself mixed in with the plot of this movie. It seems Deneb is around for some reason and then Mirror Monsters from Ryuki attack? Soon New Den-o appears, but he gets beaten up by a new evil rider named Shilubara. Shilubara is some sort of Oni who has the power to transform and why.... because of a time distortion.... The time distortion is also the blame for why Ryotaro is much younger now. This also gives an explanation why Zeronoes isn't around as he vanished. Well that Oni wanted something called the Trump Stone and Yu has been holding onto it for a while, but he doesn't say anything. In the train none of the Imajin are around because of this time distortion and the group go looking for them. Urutaros, Kintaros, and Ryutaros are in an older time where they posses the three arm monsters from Kiva? The time is like an edo period and there are warriors who are fighting off the Oni. Even Decade is in this time for some reason. As Sieg is with them which is understandable because that did happen in the end of the Den-o world arc. The scene was useless though, Decade and the gang make a quick appearance. So now all that is left is Momo and if the villains do get the Trump stones a giant ship will be released. Will the heroes be able to stop the Oni from unveiling the ship?

This is now the final form for Den-o, Climax form with wings! (sigh)

Cons- I'm going straight for the cons because there are so many flaws to talk about with this movie. First the whole time distortion plot points are lazy as hell! They are just thrown in for a quick explanation and we are supposed to be fine with it. Heck they could have just said it's Decade's fault and that would make more sense. Reminding me of Decade this movie suffers a similar flaw that Climax Deka had the other hero only gets one fight! Kiva had a quick appearance and then he comes in the final fight and so does Decade in this movie. It just makes him useless to the plot and I can't believe not having Decade is a bad thing. I also want to talk about Cho Den-o its so cheap. First I barely care for Climax form it's a mess of a form and adding wings is barely a change! Now this is the final form while the Liner form isn't anymore..... The character Yu is annoying because his character is sooooo cliche. He's a city boy who doesn't like the country blah blah blah. Also his interactions with the bow girl is pretty bad as well since her character is not that important. One thing that is weird with this movie is some of the stuff that happens. I know these are superheroes I am talking about, but my god there are so many dumb things. First there was the new form for New Den-o. It's called Vega form and it happens when Deneb goes into Kotaro. So yea even though New Den-o doesn't have the same buttons like Den-o he can have different forms, it doesn't make sense. This is why I liked seeing the other Imajin turn into weapons for New Den-o which I will talk about when I go to that movie. There is one scene where the girl tries to fire an arrow, but she is injured and the boy helps her fire the arrow. This arrow gets made air time and it somehow hits a rope so far away. I'm sorry, the boy isn't that strong and the girl is injured. Those two couldn't do that, it would make more sense for if an Imajin was possessing the boy. Now the villains of this movie, if you saw a previous post I hate these two movie riders. They have nothing special and they play out like how you would guess. They're brothers and they are evil so yea that's basically it. These two don't even have any connections to the other characters which just make them completely pointless and Goludora falls for the worst plan ever. The worst part though is the ending and we find out more about Yu, trust me it will get you flaming mad.

It's sad, these two have good looking designs, but they are so plain and boring

Overall- I know I should have a pros section, but no for me I completely hated this film. The plot is thin, the new characters are boring, and Decade barely does anything! This movie is like Climax Deka, but with nothing good about it. I give it an F- and that will probably be the only time I will give anything that grade.

Superhero Taisen Rumors

-Decade, concentrating on only his travels, had completed the fusion of worlds.

-Decade is told by Wataru to enter "The World of Fourze", leading the members of the Kamen Rider Club to transform into the Gokaiger

-Marvelous leads the Gokaiger into changing into the different Fourze States and Meteor

-During the fight, Kotaro/New Den-O appears to stop the fight. To return Gokaiger and Fourze to their original states of being, Kotaro must travel to the past!

-Kenzaki/Blade, Hongo/Ichigo, and Gackt (possibly as Riderman) will appear

-The alumni appearing for Sentai are said to be "amazing". 

These are the recent rumors of so far and it already sounds great. I do know there is hate for Decade, but his movies expect one did great. It seems we will get some past actors back like Kenzaki again. Hongo will return as well which is always awesome now all we need is Aka Ranger and if those two fight it will just be epic! It would be better if Nigo is coming as well and they fight the Gorangers! Well in the rumors it seems that Decade is going to enter another parallel world because Fourze's would is mixed up. Maybe it is the right world its just thanks to someone messing around with the worlds. I would love to see this though a role swap with shows. Fourze becomes Gokaiger and vice versa. Now Fourze will have probably have all his forms by the time the movie is released and Gai will become Meteor. The Kamen Rider Club could have some issues because of Kengo unable to fight unless that is changed. Also there are three females on the team or will one of them act like Navi. Gen would be Red, Shun would be blue unless Kengo is able to fight, Jake would be Green, Miu would be Yellow, and Yuuki or Tomoko would be Pink. I really can't wait to see how Decade will have to handle this and Kotaro is coming back as well and he will have to fix things up by going to the past. Even the one time Riderman Gackt will come back for an appearance and maybe another song from him for the movie. We all know though that there will be a huge fight soon or team up and that will just be the most jaw dropping thing in toku ever. I love crossovers and if this is done right this could make a possible series of movies.

Question though: What about the Gobusters?

Power Ranger Samurai Promo

Well sadly its coming back and there still seems to be no original ideas and no appearance of the battlizer is yet to be shown. This is mostly promoting where Red will face Decker and it actually says that only one will survive. Of course they are using the Shinkenger footage, but they actually show him getting stabbed. If you say my thoughts on PRS they had issues with stabbing and NOW THEY SHOW IT! MAKE UP YOUR GOD DAMN MINDS! The promo ends with him getting stabbed and dropping the sword. We all know from Shinkenger and if you havent seen it yet, I say skip PRS and watch Shinkenger. Now in Shinkenger Takeru gets stabbed, but he lets go of his sword and gets the final blow on Juuzo so high chance that will happen in Samurai as Decker goes down the cliff. Then there is a high chance they will have him back like in Shinkenger and this means Akumaro american counter part will be coming soon. I do wonder how they will use him or they could not use him and just make him a MOTW and skip a lot of his scenes. Its possible, but this show is lazy and doesnt care so they will probably use him and copy him. I would be surprised though if they keep his love for wanting to see hell. Im still hoping for the Bulk and Spike episode which will be Samurai's Richard Brown.

Also with Power Rider being confirmed will we soon see the crossover episode with him and the Samurai team. I really want to see this because I am hoping they will have some originality because they will have to make the episode in the teams sight and not the new hero. Also seeing Kamen Rider in America would be nice they just have to make sure they dont ruin it like last time. They could be using Decade which was 2009 so its only a two year difference. Also there isnt confirmation its Decade still people just think that because of the Decade and Shinkenger it could be a different rider. It will have to be after Decade though. Another thing that bothers me is that Power Rider will probably be a logo name so the rider himself could have another name with Power Rider. So always keep open for any possibilties.

They can easily just copy this and it could still be good if they just need to get good actors. Double is a huge rider series that got a lot of fans and has a total of four movies. This sounds like a great idea to start the american riders again with a big one. Decade was big as well, but he had a lot of hate with him and imagine if they copy that series. If they do copy Decade I wonder if there will be an American Narutaki, lol.

Onore Saban!

Well news of this got out with RRR http://ridersrangersandrambles.com/2011/08/17/26466. Now this means that its going to happen! Still no news of which series it will be though. Everyone is saying its Decade which could be bad or good. It could be bad because of the fact of Decade's writing of how it went all over the place at times. This could be good because they can easily make new stories with the many worlds and even for the main hero. How will they use the other riders though, we know they can use the Black RX world easily because of Masked Rider, but there was also Black in there. Who knows maybe it will just be a solo hero who has mutplie powers fighting villians could be that simple. Saban could easily drop the world travel thing and just have Decade fight monsters which means they will have to use their own footage. Then everyone will be confused on where these powers came from so the original riders could have lost them like in Gokaiger with the sentai warriors. This could also mean new beginnings for other riders like Kabuto. If they do want to use Kuuga and Agito high chance they will use their own scenes. Its just I'm shocked now that this is actually real, but I'm still wondering which rider will be chosen to start a new franchise for Saban.

Possiblity: Decade in Power Rangers Samurai



I still hear of this from fans that Saban bought the footage with the Decade and Shinkenger team up so is this true? So far there has been offical news about this, but I hope this doesnt happen because it could lead to the same mistake Saban made in 1994.

Yup this could cause another if Decade shows up in Samurai. This was done before in MMPR with a Friend In Need where a new hero is introduced. Sometime after the episodes the series was made and everyone knows what happened. It failed big time and is still known as Saban's worst series ever. What exactly went wrong with this series? First showing him teaming up with the Rangers was a mistake I think because it proves that Power Rangers were too popular that the only way they could make a show is to introduce a character in that series. Also kids were into teamwork motifs so having a solo hero didnt appeal as much because Power Rangers was stuck in kid's heads. The show itself though had problems like the characters and their acting wasnt good at all. The show tried to be as corny and funny as MMPR, but it couldnt compare. There was also the thing that will never be mentioned again (GRRRRRRR I HATE THAT THING!)

Whats odd is that both Black RX and Decade crossed with other riders. Black RX teamed up with the ten original riders in an episode arc while Decade teamed up with diff riders in every arc. For Masked Rider we know what happened to the original riders (I AM AMAZON!!!!) as their names were mixed up or were just dumb names, the only one they got right was ZX. Now it is the 21st century now, but I worry if a bad name could be given to Decade. The worst part though is that not only Decade will be shown many other riders will appear too (matters on what footage they use). Diend, Kuuga, Blade, Raia, Scisscors, and Den-o appear. Even monsters from kamen rider are in as well. For kids with the original riders in Masked Rider they were just were other riders who appeared to help with no back story. If they use Decade there has to be story with the riders, they already got Dragon Knight down, but what about the others? Could showing Decade first give birth to even more Rider series?

Decade also had a Black RX's world which lead to a teamup with Black as well. This could be very interesting to see how they can use that world. Dragon Knight will also be interesting since that series did have many differences to Ryuki. For the other rider worlds they could use the original stories from those series and not Decade's to give potential to new riders series even though they are before Decade.

There is no offical news yet, but if it is done that could lead to Decade being adapted by Saban. Lets just hope an occurence like this doesnt happen again. (Watch the video to understand)
