I haven't seen all of Metalder, but from what I have seen it's a very impressive series as I would think of this being a personal favorite in all of the Toku franchises.

Super Hero Taisen Z: The Space Sheriffs Want in as Well
The Metal Hero franchise is again coming back from the grave with the upcoming Super Hero Taisen movie. At first Gavan G was the only one confirmed, but now with the full title being Kamen Rider X Super Sentai X Space Sheriffs: Super Hero Taisen Z. So more Metal Heroes will be coming for the upcoming film, but wait. The Space Sheriffs were the original three series for the franchise. With Gavan G around will they use the new Sharivan and Shaider for this film? Also is it really only going to be the Space Sheriffs, if so that is actually disappointing because tons of Metal Heroes would be great additions. The franchise has a mix of heroes with solo heroes and teams. It would be very interesting to see this mix as seeing teams work with the single heroes would be awesome. It would also pay respect to a lot of great series like Metalder and Juukou B-fighter. I do wonder now though will the Shotaro Ishinomori heroes still be in the film or was that a false rumor? Well one thing for sure is that this film is getting tons of speculation like the first film, but let's hope this one won't be a disappointment.

Top 10 Tokuatsu Hits of 2012!
Well it's almost the end of 2012 and it sure was a great year. Somethings weren't as great, but Toku got a lot of amazing things this year. So I am looking back on what shows, movies, or anything related to Toku made a really big impact on the year.
10. Power Rangers Super Samurai
Now
everyone knows what I feel for Samurai. Super Samurai fixed a lot of
things for me, but it's still a below average series. The biggest reason
why I even bother putting it on is because Saban is back and this felt
like more of a comeback. I see more fans now and with a younger fan base
growing and the older fans still supporting the franchise there is a
lot more to come. Because of Samurai's success with getting fans we are
going to get Megaforce soon next year. Which is something I can't wait
for.
9. Super Hero Taisen
Now this film gets a lot of mixed feelings from fans. For me personally the story was really bad, but I will save my thoughts for the review. Now since I don't like the film why is it on the list. Well the premise was really good. A war with Rider and Sentai how awesome does that sound? This premise alone gave us some really good fights that will never saw. It's nice to see our heroes together and there were ton of things that went with this idea. First is the song We Are Brothers, it's such a touching song and really gives the feel of the past moving towards to the present. Second there is a sequel coming and good news it's not going to be based on this film. So does film even count in the continuity? Either way a lot of things in the background supported this movie and I hope the next one will be better in story telling.
8. SH Figurarts
This year was great for this figurine series. There were tons of call backs to older series thanks to Akibaranger bringing two of the Jetman into the figurine line. Also Fourze was around this time and with some good designs we got the States, Meteor and Meteor Storm, and Zodiart figurines. Gokaiger and Go-busters also had a good time with this. I personally cannot wait to get some of these guys for my collection that is for sure.
7. Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters
Go-busters is a history making series, but for the wrong reasons. When the series began it was good as it played somethings differently than the usual Sentai series. Sadly it didn't do so well for the core audience so things got changed and boy it got messy. The series still stands being average, but so many things were taken away. The series started to use messages that the series and franchise have done so many times, a new mecha was forced into the toy line, and characters were ruined with the new plot. The only thing I hope people remember Go-busters for was it's mecha action since it nearly perfected that.
6. Gavan G
Now why I am only putting a character on the list. Well I haven't seen the Gavan movie yet so I got no opinion on it. What I do know who the main character is. Gavan G is a very good call back to the Metal Hero franchise as the torch is passed onto a new Gavan. This was easily a big comeback and I hope there will be more since I really liked the character. He was in Go-busters for two episodes with episode one having actual focus on him. He was an enjoyable character and reminds me of other heroes from the franchise. With rumors saying he will be coming for the next Taisen I can't wait to see him decide which side he will be on.
5. Gokaiger VS. Gavan
Let's continue to talk about Gavan. The start of his comeback came in an amazing anniversary film for the Metal Hero franchise. We got Kenji Ohba to relive three of his roles for this film and we had our favorite pirates the Gokaigers help him in battle. What got me to love this film a lot was the beginning, Gavan defeated the Gokaigers! Don't mess with older heroes or you will get your ass kicked. The film shows why old heroes will never die out and will live on in the hearts of many fans. Along with great action scenes and a memorable team up with Metal Hero and Sentai, again I can't wait for Taisen Z!
4. Kamen Rider Fourze
Kamen Rider Fourze came at a very good time. First the series was good I give it B. The action was mostly good with great moments sprinkled in at places. Then there were his movies. He was in Superhero Taisen, but he had the Megamax movie which is 2011 I know, but it started a film career for a certain director. This same director came for Fourze's summer movie and again I haven't seen it, but there is ton of love for that film. Overall Fourze did a lot as it came at a really crucial point of history of Tokuatsu. Also the most recent crossover movie he has with Wizard is getting good criticism as well.
3. Kamen Rider Wizard
Wizard is at a really strong beginning for me and if you seen my reviews you know why. I love nearly everything about the series as it has an amazing main character, villains that can be very deceiving and strong, and each arc is given a unique take which reminds me on how Double did things. Wizard's first movie also got tons of good criticism I mentioned before and I bet his summer movie will get the same love. I am going to stop here since next post is going to be about Wizard.
2. Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger
Sure Gokaiger was mostly in 2011, but it did last until 2012 and boy were the last episode amazing. We got Basco's last stand (don't get me started on how he is coming back.), Warz Gil who was a much better villain than his son, characters that were basically comedic to bad ass awesomeness, and a great pay off in the end. Gokaiger shows so much love for the franchise, but it makes sense since it was a Sentai series, but what about a parody series?
1. Hikonin Sentai Akibaranger
Topping the list is a series no one saw coming and that is Akibaranger! I mean really when the news came out about a new Sentai along with Go-busters were speculating on what it could be. When it was revealed people were rather confused and it makes sense at first. After watching the first episode you know exactly what you are watching. It's a parody series for the Sentai franchise and just wow it was amazing. A low budget series with some of the best humor seen in all of Toku. The writing itself is top par and I love the references as some were hidden well at times. There were rumors of a second season coming in 2013 and I want it to happen so badly! Well that's 2012 for Toku it had a lot of great things and for me it's one of my favorite years.

Uchuu Keiji Gavan the Movie Trailer!
By October 20th the new Gavan movie will come out, but first is the trailer. The Metal Hero franchise hasn't really been brought up for a long time until Gokaiger had a team up with the first one Gavan. The movie easily got very popular and thanks to that another movie for the Metal Heroes as come will this be a revival? First thing is that the main focus will be a new Gavan called Gavan G so far the trailer doesn't explain that much (mostly because there are no subs yet). We do get a good look at the new villains and see Kenji Ohba as the original Gavan for one more time. What really surprised me is that there will also be a new Sharivan and new Shaider. New Sharivan is played by Riki Miura who was Geki Violet from Gekiranger and playing New Sharivan is a more recent popular actor in Toku, Hiroaki Iwanaga who has been R5 and the first one to be Kamen Rider Birth (Date-san!!). I do like how they are bringing in the other heroes in this movie, but so far by looking at them they look identical to the originals. Which is weird because look at Gavan G since he has little differences I was expecting the other two to have some differences as well. Either way I can't wait for this movie as it really screams Metal Hero and not only because it has the Metal Heroes. The movie is going to play the cards that the Metal Hero franchise is known for so there will be great tribute elements. If things go well there could even be a whole new Metal Hero series, but that's stretching it.

A New Gavan Movie?
Your eyes are not fooling you, a new movie for the Space Sheriff is coming out and the past Gavan will give his title to a new one. When I first heard about this I thought the next actor would be a young and pretty guy like rider and sentai have at times. The new guy though looks good for this role though. I like that he will have his own jacket and won't just be following on what Gavan is. His appearance is a little older, but he looks like a man. By that I mean a guy who looks like they can actually fight like the Riders from the Showa era. The new character will be his own person and who knows this could bring back the Metal Hero franchise. There could even be a new Gavan series if this movie does very well. His suit also looks a little different to the old one since he doesn't have much of the colors. It seems this will be the last time we will see Kenji play as Gavan and I can't wait for him to mentor the new one before his leave. By this picture the two could even be fighting together for this movie. The new Gavan movie will come out October the 20th.

Movie Month: Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger VS Uchuu Keiji Gavan Review
The 80's had a lot of great things. Even for Toku the 80's was a very great time, there were Kamen Rider Black and RX as they still live as fan favorites. For Sentai we had Denjiman going to Turboranger as the 80's were known for being the darker side of Toku. By that I mean the series had more series plot twists for example the Liveman series is a perfect example of that and Kamen Rider Black carried some dark tones. There was one more great thing about the 80's though and that was a whole new franchise! Gavan came in 1982 and made the Metal Hero franchise starting out with the Space Sheriff trilogy. It is 2012 and recently this great hero has been brought back for the 30th anniversary for the Metal Heroes. So the hero is crossed over into Sentai as we get Gokaiger vs Gavan. Gokaiger is mostly known for it's tributes to the Sentai franchise, but they step out and tribute a different franchise and a great actor. The plot is pretty simple with the pirates being attacked by Gavan. They are being arrested for acts of piracy even though they have already been cleared for that by S.P.D. The fight starts in the air and yes the movie begins with this. The team's ship is taken down and Gavan reveals himself. The team decide to fight and that was a big mistake, Gavan easily wins and captures the pirates. He brings them back to a meeting area where a leader appears to execute the team. Gavan catches up on this and quickly saves the team. He actually knew what was going on and used the Gokaigers as bait. For who exactly, a Zangyack chief, but he has some connection to Don Horror! The enemy also made an imitation of Gavan. Gai comes to the rescue for the team and escape as Gavan fights on his own. Marvelous notices something though and hesitates, but the team escapes and Gavan is captured. The crew start to talk about Gavan and it seems Marvelous has been saved by him back in the past. Marve wants to rescue him, but how? For some reason Basco appears and tells the team where Gavan is. He is in the Makku Prison which is known for never letting anyone escape. Now the team need to get there and luckily two veterans appear. Shirou (Battle Kenya) and Oume (Denjiblue) appear out of nowhere and the team think they both look along with looking like Gavan. The two tell the team to get into the Makku Prison which is using the keys of Battle Kenya and Denjiblue. Now the team get into the prison and fight to save Gavan.
Pros- If you love Gavan and Kenji Ohba, you will probably love this movie. There are great tributes in this movie. We get to see Gavan's transformation like in the old series and the Gokaigers even get a narrative for their transformation. I like the little connections like Makku Space and the monster being related to Don Horror, these are nice and are used probably so that Gavan doesn't hog the spotlight. Having Basco actually interacting with the plot was kinda surprising. Usually the other villains just stay out in the movies, but Basco still stays true to himself and uses this to his advantage. Gavan was awesome, first the suit got redesigned and it looks fantastic. It keeps to the original design and gives it more shine like the sliver suit does. Marvelous had a different side of him than usual, but he still acts like himself. The fights were great from Gavan beating down the pirates to them teaming up. Gavan's song is even used in the background and when I heard that, my heart skipped a beat. Another great fight is when Gavan and Gavan Bootleg fight one on one and trust me I was gleaming with happiness thanks to that fight. The mecha fight is great as welll with the addition of Gavan's Dolgarin. Not only there are tributes to Gavan as I said if you love Kenji Ohba you will love seeing all three of his roles come to live in this movies. There are Sentai tributes with Battle Fever, Denjiman, and some nice appearances from past villains.
Cons- Even with nice connections, the villains are just average. Bootleg is silent, but hey he is just a robot. Anyways the design on Bootleg was great like Gavan's. The movie follows a tradition with showing the next Sentai team and I'm sorry, but I'm tired of this. It's random and is just there to get people excited about the new series. Sure they actually make a plot connection as the Busters fight Basco. Still they are there for a fight and that isn't right. I said this before with the villains, but why didn't they interact some more. I know the Zangyack usually leaves things to their commanders, but when they see a new hero joining in I was at least expecting some back up from Insarn. The story is pretty plain, but this movie is for an anniversary and it does that correctly. One thing that disappoints me is that Battle Kenya and Denjiblue don't get a great fight with Gavan, at least they transformed together.
Overall- There are mostly little flaws and there is some lack of tribute to Kenji. The movie is still amazing though with great fights showing that Gavan is still awesome! Also I am hoping there will be more Super Sentai/ Metal Hero crossovers. It would be very interesting to see heroes like Blue SWAT and B-fighter helping a Sentai team. I give this movie an A- because it works greatly as an anniversary movie and it keeps focus on the Gokaigers as the main characters.

Gavan and Sharivan In Gobusters?
A new rumor has come up and its about the metal heroes and the upcoming sentai series. It seems that after Gobusters will make their appearance on the Gavan and Gokaiger team up it seems that both Gavan and Sharivan will be regulars on the new series. This is pretty damn awsome I must say, two metal heroes with the new heroes. Could metal heroes become the next type of extra ranger in upcoming series? If this is true and this does work well it could continue with other metal heroes as this could be the revival of the metal heroes. Super Sentai has been lossing some popularity sadly with Kamen Rider becoming more popular. I do love Kamen Rider more, but Sentai is great as well and is a huge franchise in toku. Maybe the idea of a team of five is starting to get old for people as some series do not do good with that like Goseiger. Anyways bringing metal heroes in Super Sentai could be a good new thing for the franchise as we get a team of five or three along with single heroes who could help the team at times. I wonder if it will continue though if this is true because I would love to see B-fighter team up with a sentai team.
The Metal Heroes could be coming back

A New Rider and a New Mecha and a Returning Hero!
Yup its time for more Megamax pictures and as you can see we see the Double, OOO, and Fourze together in their henshin pose. Also we see the three riders, Nadeshiko, and a new rider! First this isnt the rumored Kamen Rider Grey. He is going to be a movie rider as his name is Aqua. High chance Aqua is going to be somehow related to Poseidon because think about it.
The new movie rider looks pretty badass I must say his helmet reminds me of the original kamen rider and his belt looks similar to something as well, but I cant remember. Anyways I like this design, it easily looks like a water themed rider with a great shade of blue mixed with silver. It seems that he will also using a jet ski. High chance this rider is a reference to Sea Jetter Kaito I dont know much about him, but I have seen images of him.
With Gokaiger news pictures of Kazen Gokai-oh have been released and thanks with Go-onger's great powers they can combine with Gojyujin along with MachFalcon. First I like how they keep the face of Gokai-oh and they have the drill from Gozyujin. Also there is a new hand equip I guess thats from MachFalcon. This will easily be used a lot for the rest of the series as new rumors come out about Basco getting more powers from Sun Vulcan and Fiveman as there will only be one left which will be Kakuranger. Will there be tribute episodes for the series Basco stole powers from? I hope so because I want to see a Maskman and Sun Vulcan tribute. I give credit to the show though to think of the story first not just focus on tribute episodes it will make the series more dynamic.
Also the first picture of Gavan vs Gokaiger has been shown as well! Showing Gavan in his famous pose with his laser sword. The original actor will be playing him of course and this is going to be awsome! Metal Heroes are great and it seems that they actually fought in the Legends War. The original three Gavan, Sharivan, and Shaider fought along with the sentai warriors. Even all of the other Metal Heroes are fighting as well like both the B-Fighters, Jansperon, Gun Gibson, SolBraver, and Knight Fire. There is a high chance that they didnt lose their powers mostly because Gavan can still use his powers. I cant wait for that though to see Metal Heroes redone in a movie and I'm hoping that this could revive the franchise because we can always have more toku. Overall both movies are going to be epic bringing back old heroes to fight again and the Gokaiger series is getting more epic with new rumors keep popping up like Joe and Barizorg's final battle and Doc's past!

Kamen Rider Megamax Update and Gokaiger vs Gavan Confirmed!
Yup the next rider movie is coming up soon and here we see the original seven riders. Also Nigo gets the black helmet like in the Stronger team up thank goodness we can tell Ichigo and Nigo apart more easily. By this picture Gen is acting like himself as he tries to talk to them, but Eiji is warning him for some reason. Another thing does Eiji remember what happened in the All Rider movie or will he forget because high chance they changed the times back to normal so will the original riders even remember him? Well Fourze's story is when the school is having a festival and Gen is writing about the urban legends, the Kamen Riders. A new group of villians appear called Dustard which is supposed to be mean star dust. Also a new rider appears as we know its Nadeshiko as she is called the female Fourze as she as a similar belt.
Also the Gokaiger and Gavan team up as been confirmed as it will appear January 21st as it seems Gavan and Doggie are friends which does make sense because the space sheriffs did have other allies if I remember correctly. Now I know some fans will go why have a single hero team up with a team of five. Its been done before with Decade and Shinkenger and Saban did it with MMPR and Masked Rider (that one really sucked). I think both movies will be awsome though as Fourze is doing great right now as a series and the movie looks awsome, but I'm wondering when will Double join in and when is another Returns movie going to come out. Then seeing a Metal Hero again will be nice because it will be nice to see how they will use new graphics with Gavan.
Dopants and Yummies, awsome!
OOO's story starts after the ending of the series as Eiji is being called to come back to Kougami. A meteorite crashes onto the Earth and a time disortion starts as we see the villian Miharu Minato as he has three core medals that he uses to become Poseidon. Also Miharu knows Kougami, so what is their connection and (SPOLIER ALERT!!!!!!!!) Ankh will somehow come back its probably because of the time disortion as everyone else will be back as well. Then we all know that somehow the stories will connect as the two main riders fight a villian. This time they will have the help of the seven riders and I'm still curious about the black man rumor and who could this villian be, I am still sticking with Titan on this because he is my favorite villian from Stronger.
Also the Gokaiger and Gavan team up as been confirmed as it will appear January 21st as it seems Gavan and Doggie are friends which does make sense because the space sheriffs did have other allies if I remember correctly.
