Akibaranger Season 2 Episode 3 Review: The Real Dairanger!

I was planning to get this review up by yesterday, but my internet had some issues and I lost the whole review after it crashed. Either way I'm doing it now so let's begin. In the last episode, Kibaranger as appeared suddenly and started to attack the team. Then Kibaranger has an Akibaranger logo on him, what is going on?
The first thing to cover is that Malshina has come back after her defeat nine months ago and she still acts the same from season one. The difference is that she is a pure villain, last time in season one she was the villain, but it was to keep Akibaranger going. So again I'm not completely happy to see Malshina like this, but she still keeps her charm and personality. Reminding me of charm this episode pulled off a more "mature" moment when she is showering. I have a feeling there are going to be more scenes like those in the future. Then add in her confusion on how she came back was funny. The Shogun which is the nickname for the main villain I am guessing had her say she was revived just like Hedrian from Denjiman and Sun Vulcan. She had no idea what it meant and I'm surprised that Nobuo of all people didn't pick up on that. So it's nice to have Malshina back as I still enjoy her as a villain.
While I am on the villains I forgot to talk about the new grunts, the Freakers as they remind of the Cotpotros, but just ten times creepier. In the last episode they were rubbing themselves all over Blue and Red, heck one shoved it's butt right at Blue's face! They even say some strange lines like in this episode they say "Eternally Hairless" and to add as I said they look like the Dairanger grunts, but add some different color and patterns and that along makes them look odd. I'm not saying it's a bad design since it gives the image of something very different. The blue and pink parts on the face show boy and girl and the pink side is more complex while the blue half is very simplistic. They even walk in a strange matter as they even rub themselves at times, just creeps me out. So yea these new grunts are plain creepy and that's the point so I may not like them, but they serve their purpose.
Just imagine if they team up with her.... no one would be safe from the creepiness!
Continuing on with the episode is how the team thinks of a way to get Dairanger back to being the original. What I liked a lot during this scene is how Dairanger was completely thrown out of history. It seems when Akibaranger was aired it's legendary, but for the wrong reasons. The show only lasted thirteen episodes, hmmm sounds familiar. Also it's known for being a black part of the Super Sentai franchise. They even find an image of Keiichi Wada dressed up as Nobuo as he played his character. They even start to realize some strange things about the series like how Akibaranger gets called Gosei Sentai. There were only three members so the team thinks that the other two not got revealed since the series got cancelled which makes Kibaranger's anger seem reasonable now. He completely vanished along with Akibaranger so he never got his time to shine. This part shows how the show covered it's tracks with any questions that were left by the plot of this arc. They pull out a great joke about their own series and it's realistic to see how a Akibaranger became a laughed at series.
Then we learn more about the villains as Malshina is working with the Shogun of course, but the two really don't get along well at all. They constantly bicker and it seems like Malshina doesn't like his plans that much. We do find out how he makes monsters by a device that brings them into the delusion world. This could then apply to how he can mess around with this world and then we know it still has connections to the real world so things can be changed by him. He creates a new monster which is the same one, but it's a HVD monster not a bluray. Then the team find out that he is a Gouma and this means that the Shogun is making his own fan made creatures which is great. This leaves a lot of possible moments for the MOTW since they will based on a series. The Shogun even notices the flags of defeat so he is no doubt a fan of the franchise, but why would he want Dairanger to be Chinaman then?
Luna still had an overall focus for this episode since she has a childhood connection to the Akibaranger series and she just found out that it's a bad series for the franchise. We all had this moment, there was that one show we liked as kids and can still like till this day, but then people will bash you for liking it. I bet if I look back to the things I watched I know about half of those things were bad, or just terrible, or even just so bad I had to forget about them. Then there would be that one show I still had a liking to even with the bad criticisms it gets. Now I didn't grow up with Super Sentai so I don't have a story with that franchise, but Power Rangers is close enough. I actually still like the first half of Turbo, many would disagree with me, but oh well. For me the show got bad with the new cast since there wasn't enough time to get a whole lot of great moments from them. So yea that was a nice moment there for Luna as she still kept strong with her liking for the show.

Another thing I like about Luna is how honest she is. She knows that saving Dairanger would mean getting rid of her childhood series she grew up with, but she will still help. Her reason is that she wants to learn more about acting so when she heard the team will passionately reenact Dairanger she wants to see how they will do it. Now it may seem selfish, but this is just a television show and for Luna she needs to learn more things about being an idol and new skills can help her out a lot. So she puts her past behind and helps the team with their goal.
Now how will the team save Dairanger, well by showing Dairanger to the two heroes of course. The heroes actually had to remember past scenes from Dairanger since they couldn't look it up since it's gone from history. Also they make many props to help their cause. The first thing they do is reenact the Dairanger opening with handmade props. They had to make their own Ryusei-oh and have paper masks on their faces. They had the faces of the characters and the Sentai helmets. They even tied China Red up to a chair and put a fake television in front of him to make this illusion. Now I am a big Dairanger fan and I will cover each of these great moments, but YES! I loved this scene so much, it was funny because of the mess up they had like one of the masks broke and Yellow and Red were going to collapse soon. Red had to use an exercise bike for when the characters rode their bikes in the opening. Also they sing the whole first verse of the song, just so much greatness here. Even if you aren't a big Dairanger lover you can still find this scene very funny because of how hard the heroes try to recreate the opening.
They then get into trouble when the villains return with Kibaranger and the new HVD monster. The fight doesn't last long, but the scene was funny cause the team run away with China Red and put him in the trunk of their car! The first time they got him was by a tranquilizer and I bet they put him in the trunk the first time as well. So after they get away they quickly move onto another scene and it's...... the third Jin and Ryou fight from episode 27! Red pretends to be Jin as the team dresses China Red in a muscle shirt with the metal chains on him. This is one of the greatest scenes of Dairanger and my personal favorite and finally some love for the best Yukata role! It's nearly dead on accurate all thanks to Nobuo who did make some errors, but this was from memory! The scene even used the instrumental song that was used in episode 27. The best part is that it works and Ryuu Ranger awakens and does exactly what he did in episode 27 when Jin made an opening after noticing Aki. Oh yea Yellow then dresses up in a nurse outfit and pretends to be Aki as well. Then when Ryuu Ranger gives the final blow, Red even pretends to spit out blood! Just perfect absolutely perfect!
Another thing that was handled very well as Kibaranger since as I said before his story comes out very well. He never got to appear so he wants revenge on the Akibarangers for that. He even used his ability of sound manipulation and he uses Yukio Yamgata (singer of the Gaoranger theme) and Mojo (singer of the Battle Fever J theme) to blast the team with great Sentai music. Even preparing the attack was shown just like how Dairanger did it in the series. Then the team saved Kibaranger thanks to Yellow pretending to be Lin as she talks about her idol career from episode 33! Yellow even does the poses that Lin did in that episode. This gets Kibaranger to realize who he is since he remembered what happened to Lin in that episode. Now that the heroes have been saved it's time for them to get their payback!
This fight was great cause it had the Dairanger feeling a whole lot. This is thanks to some nice camera shots of of Ryu Ranger doing his technique on the monster and even Red and Yellow were pulling some Dairanger off. Blue was being more free style like last time just not as crazy though. It really felt like a rough edition of a Dairanger fight and Wada is doing the voice for Ryuu Ranger! Lastly it's time for the new power for the Akibarangers as they get two hand blasters. They can combine to make a cannon as it easily represents when the team puts their hands together for the Chi-Power Bomber! Malshina just left as well before the fight started because she is like that and for no reason as well.
Oh my was this episode just amazing! For a Dairanger fan this just makes my heart soar with happiness. I loved seeing the team recreate the great scenes from Dairanger and the opening as well. This is such so much love for Dairanger. Also the humor was well done and even the action had was nice thanks to the two official members. With that I would give this episode an A+!

Akibaranger Season 2 Episode 2 Review: Chinaman!

Continuing off where we last left our delusion heroes we found out that Dairanger is gone and Akibaranger replaced it! What exactly is happening to our official heroes and will Nobuo be fine by himself?
The first thing I want to cover is what this season is doing. I have a feeling that it will cover issues regarding the Sentai franchise this time. The big reason why is the plot with Dairanger being completely gone. The only thing left is Ryuu Ranger, but he's not the same anymore. He has been changed into China Red from Chinaman. For those who don't know, Chinaman was an fake name for the series that was started by rumors on the internet. The helmets were different has they have two eyes above the visor which looks creepy so I'm glad it vanished for Dairanger. So now China Red is real and is just a mascot character for a restaurant it seems. We first see him holding onto gyoza which was Ryou's specialty dish. I love this plot point since it digs into Sentai history and making it relevant and it's funny to see that China Red is not a fighter at all.
So how could have this possibly happened? Our heroes don't know yet, but they do know that the delusion world is breaking through reality. I mean why would Akibaranger replace Dairanger there has to some sort of connection. Nobuo thinks the new Chief Clerk used his powers to downgrade Dairanger into Chinaman, but again how does that completely get rid of Dairanger from existence? There are so many questions and there isn't an explanation yet, but all we do know is that something caused it and it has to be stopped. I am really loving this since we have seen the new main villain for the series in this episode and boy he's something. Going on it's great to see that Nobuo thinks of a plan to save Dairanger which is to defeat the Chief Clerk!
Well let's hope he can
So the Chief Clerks return and this time it's quite different from the usual ones. The monster is a Bluray creature that has the powers of a remote control. He appears in reality as a salesman who has the dreamray player which lets anyone's fantasy come alive on the screen. Of course this leads to a pervert having a sex anime with Aoi-tan play on the screen which causes a massive nosebleed and this causes other people to do this as well and then their clothes are replaced with cardboard. The MOTW really seems like a take on Dairanger's monsters since this guy talks about his powers like it's a technique. Also he's not based on a city name, but an item which was a huge motif theme for Dairanger. I really like his powers as well, he can downgrade anything he wants and even rewind and fast forward. He can even summon images and make then real by his 3D powers. It's a very creative creature and it's quite strong as Nobuo cannot handle this by himself, so it's time for the reinforcements!
We get a new Akibablue as it is Luna, a sixteen year old girl trying to become a model. Nobuo, Hakase, and Kozukozu find her after realizing that they need help. It's a stroke of destiny as well since Luna is a big fan of Akibaranger and notices what Noubu wears is the same outfit in the show it seems. There was even a funny moment where she mentions how she saw the show thanks to the Toei Chan.... yea it got censored which was hilarious. The whole Toei logo even got censored which just made me laugh more. Going on Luna is a fun character so far, she actually gets in the group because she thought she was going to be in a remake for Akibaranger. So it's very similar to how Nobuo first thought what Akibaranger was. What's great though is that Akibaranger is real so this gives many moments for some comedy gold. Continuing on with Luna though she does tons of research on many directors of Super Sentai cause she tried to do auditions before. When she got her first fight she goes crazy and just starts sprawling with her gun and fists.
And then our favorite rotten girl, Moegi returns and when she comes back she is dressed well rather nice. This makes me want to think on where Moegi came from, but I know that will be for another episode. What's important though she comes back and even dresses back up in her cat cosplay. Moegi stayed very much the same which is great as her character was a lot of fun. She was a big fan like Nobuo is and the two shared some great moments together. Even in this episode the two act like they weren't even separated as they both act like goofs together. One thing that is odd though is that the Akibaranger suits for blue and yellow are different. Blue has a pony tail on her helmet while yellow has two buns on the side of her helmet (I know it's called something, but I'm not a hair expert). I really have no idea why it's like this, but I guess it's because of Akibaranger actually becoming official means there were changes to their suits.
Back to the villain portion of season two we see the new main baddie. So far we didn't get his name, but I can tell he means business. First is how he dresses up, it looks like a rejected costume for General Kar from Dynaman. He even has the same face paint as the guy. What he does though is give life to these new creatures as he says they will surpass their sempai. I want to guess he is correcting things for himself since he seems to be a big Sentai fan as well. He has statues, figurines, and he even sang a song in Denjiman that only played for one episode, heck I didn't even know of that song. All we do know that he is the cause of all that is happening and that's fine for an introduction heck he even met Nobuo when he was singing that song.
Another thing I loved in this episode was seeing how many changes did occur. Akibaranger fully replaced Dairanger as all the merchandise that used to be Dairanger became Akibaranger. Even the opening theme song got changed for Akibaranger! The Ittasha Robo had a new look as it had more official colors, there were even delusion videos. Nobuo was completely happy to see this stuff and I don't blame him, the whole goal in the first season was to become official and now it has happened. Now what Nobuo isn't happy with though is that his delusions seems to be off. If it was his delusion why would he want Ryuu Ranger changed into China Red and he even lost in the first fight. So this obviously means that there are some major changes in the delusion world as I even wonder if the Chief Clerks are real this time? Probably not, but something to wonder about. What was even funnier was how Luna knew a lot about Akibaranger which didn't match with what the other two were used to. She was saying the name differently and was doing poses differently. Technically she isn't wrong either. Each time this happened the Red and Yellow paused and were confused.
The final thing to talk about is that Kibaranger appears at the end of the episode. First it's the original voice actor who did Byakko's voice. He is mad at the Akibarangers because of them he is part of their team and he isn't happy about that at all. He even had the Akibaranger logo on his chest! Just more switching around and I love it. I so know the next episode will hold ton of Dairanger greatness since the team has to save Ryuu Ranger and Kibaranger somehow. Then for those who don't know Dairanger is my favorite Super Sentai so you can see why I am excited.
Overall this was a very fun episode that shown us a lot of things, but didn't explain them yet. We know that something odd is happening and we even know who is doing this. There were great comedic moments and I just love seeing the fake rumored Chinaman being a part of the episode. Also having the switch around was very well done. I am already set for more from Season 2 as I give this episode an A-
Next Time: More Chinese delusions!

Debate: Dairanger or Gokaiger

I have brought this up from my Dairanger review and I'm having a tough time deciding which series is my favorite. I have made my decision though and will compare the two in many categories.

Plot
Dairanger is a series that is mostly a war between two tribes as one of them comes back after many years. There are many things kept secret though as the heroes will find out many truths about their allies and enemies. Gokaiger is about a group of space pirates coming to Earth to find the greastest treasure in the universe. Before their arrival though there was the Legends War where all past Sentai warriors fight the Zangyack as they use all their powers to destroy them. Luckily they lived, but now have lost their powers, but the pirates have all their powers in form of the Ranger Keys. In their adventure they will learn about the true spirit of the Super Sentai and become heroes. Both have good overall plots, but I would have to go with Dairanger because I like the many twists there were and how it connected many characters. Gokaiger was mostly simple just with a lot of things added on like the rivalry with Basco.
You can say the same with Dairanger has there are a lot of added in sub plots, but overall the war story has a lot of secrets.

Heroes
Dairanger's heroes are people who have to forget their lives right now to fight the Gorma. The characters mostly go through really tough times as they meet many new characters to develop them further like Ryou and Jin. The two were tough rivals, but Ryou learned a lot from him as so did the others with their counterparts. Gokaiger's characters are mostly tributes in their own way like Marve is the bold leader with a dark past. We actually learn about them as the story continues and what hardships they had to deal before they became a team member. This time the point goes to Gokaiger because has I said the characters are tributes to the franchise and I liked that we learn about them and they stay the same throughout the series. Development is great, but it's better when a character stays the same as they are already enjoyable.
Number one reason why Gokaiger will be remembered for a long time

Villains
In Dairanger the villains are the Gorma the tribe that reawakens to kill off the human race. The main villain of the series is Shadam and he did a lot in the series as he is mostly connected to most of the twists. He also has a great passion and he did a lot to make sure he won as he used his own comrades to get it. The Zangyack are the villains in Gokaiger as another fleet comes to Earth as they are lead by the Prince, Warz Gil. He acts like a spoiled brat and whenever something fails he goes into a blind fury, now as annoying it can be it can also be funny. You all know where I'm going with this though, point to Dairanger. The Gorma are just way better because unlike the Zangyack the Gorma are actually have focus. The Zangyack are just simply there to be villains and even with Basco he cannot save the whole thing. Also where Gokaiger had one great villain, Dairanger only had one bad villain.
I couldn't like her at all, but at least the other villains were great

Action
A big factor of any Sentai series are the fights as Dairanger uses their motif of martial arts in them. Each member and even some villains have their own skills and powers which keep things nice and fresh. Dairanger also has some great out of suit action and for their robot fights it's really good because I think the 90's had some of the best robots. Gokaiger keep their fights fresh with the many countless combinations with the Ranger Keys. They can transform into the whole team or just randomize them like having all the same color. Their robot fights though are mixed up because even with great arsenals from the Great Powers of the Sentai they can get boring fast. Some don't even last a long time and the series uses a lot of powers way too much, so point to Dairanger. Even with the great combination fights and tribute fights from Gokaiger, Dairanger has great out of suit action and great robot fights.
Dairanger still has some of my favorite mechas

Episodes
Dairanger ran for 50 episodes while Gokaiger went with 51 episodes so both are pretty close to length, but Dairanger had a shorter run time. This was common in the 90's has the series had a much shorter amount of minutes. This doesn't kill the show though as everything still feels nice and paced. With Gokaiger again it's a mixed bag as I can't enjoy every episode the same for Dairanger, but whenever Gokaiger had a filler episode it was usually boring. Some people complain that Dairanger is full of too many cliches with their little episodes. Even if I see them those cliches are mostly from Chinese fighting movies and Dairanger did have that motif so it can get away with it. Gokaiger also has that same issue, since it's a tribute series it does follow some Super Sentai cliches. Both series can get away with their cliches, but Gokaiger wins mostly because the last episode and if you saw the Dairanger finale you know what I'm talking about.
The final episode for Gokaiger was simply amazing!

Verdict
You see why this is a tough pick, Gokaiger has little flaws and the same can go for Dairanger. In the end though I have to pick...
Dairanger!
The Dairanger series has a much better way of telling a story and it did a lot to affect the franchise. Also the villain were just much better as they had more connections to the story and the sub plots. The action is also a little better because of out of suit action and the robot fights. Gokaiger is still a great series, but there is only one strong villain as the others seemed forgotten and didn't do much expect to be evil. The fights actually got a little old as well as the series didn't mix it up that much as some powers were barely every used. This is my own opinion so you can leave your own opinions as well in the comments below.

Gosei Sentai Dairanger Series Review

All the episodes have been subbed by fan sub groups and I was so happy to see more episodes of this series to be subbed. This is the Sentai series that only had the robots and monsters adapted into the second season of MMPR. The Dairanger suits never came to America, but only Kibaranger did, so did Saban make the right move with this? Well I think so the series is pretty violent and the fighting style of this team is completely different from Zyuranger. The show is about two clans reappearing after a war that has happened eight thousand years ago. The series mostly follows our heroes fighting the Gorma who have many secrets in their clan as they will all be revealed. With the help from Kaku five people get away from their normal lives to fight and have great skills in martial arts as every member as a different style. The series has a big Chinese motif to it so it references marital arts films a lot. The leader is Ryou who used to be an apprentice chief where he wanted to make the best Goyza. He has descendants from the Dai tribe and he soon finds secrets about his family and meets a great rival. Daigo is a man that owns a pet store as he seems to be a calm and gentle person, but when he fights he is one serious fighter you don't want to mess with. Along with his fight he finds love and tries to protect it. Shouji is a bold character who is comical, but also serious about his manhood he loves challenges and likes to play fair. With him he finds rivals that always cheat, but he bonds with them anyways and takes them on repetitively. Kazu is a hair stylist and he is a character who likes to think, but can just rush into battle. He is a very suave man and was actually a country boy from before who ran from home and now turns into a city boy and in his adventure he meets a new friend with a strange connection to the Dai tribe. Lin is a girl from college as she is Kaku's nephew and by her outside appearance she seems shy, but like Daigo the battlefield changes her completely as she meets a boy with a dark past. That boy is Kou who becomes Kibaranger and his past connects to Shadam a commander in the Gorma and soon his dark past is revealed and he will loss many things.
Pros- I love the motif this series has because it is constantly used because of the many different styles of fighting each member has and even villains have some of their own moves. The plot is actually great as it connects more with the villains and the conspiracies hidden in their clan. I love the cast of heroes as they all have some branching part about themselves and have great focus episodes. The fights in the series is a personal favorite of mine and not only because they follow real techniques. There are some great out of suit fights and one on one fights which really shows the strength each team member has. Has I said before every member has a set of focus episodes and are all great I love that each character has some sort of challenge and can learn from their fights. I love the villains in this series, except one, but that will be for later. The Gorma are a very well done set of villains as some are just plainly evil, but there are some good ones who are soon have to fight. Even a human gets involved with the war and becomes one of the best rival characters in sentai IMO. The robots in this series and their fights are great because I think the 90's has some of the best robot fights. Dairanger marked the solo red robot which is being seen in Gobusters. Shadam is mostly the main villain and he does so much that it amazes me how much he does and all for one single goal.
He actually gets adpated into MMPR as Mondo
Cons-With all the great characters there is some flops, first is Kazu and the only reason is because he gets ignored, but when he gets an episodes it's great. In the villains I hate Gara and her connection with Daigo's love story was starting out good, but it ends up really lame. I really it was just plainly horrible how cliche it got and the character Kujaku was great, it's said she was paired with Gara. Along with Gara there are just some strange minor villains, but that can be good at times. Kou is the sixth ranger, but he suffers from what Kazu had which was he was ignored, but not as badly. Kou gets probably better episodes than Kazu and his character is important to the story. The ending of the series is also kinda eh, I don't want to say much about it, but if you saw it you know what I'm talking about.
I mean really what kind of monster is that?!
Overall- Even with one bad villain and some bad minor villains, this is a must watch for Sentai fans. The series actually starts some big things for the franchise like the suit less role call and made out of suit fights amazing! Each character has a part in the story if its big or not and there are many more villains to love than hate. With the great fights, characters, and story this is one of my favorite sentai and I can't decide which one I like more Gokaiger or Dairanger! Well this show gets an A+ If you love martial arts film there will be many things you will love.
I will keep with this as well, Ryou is the most bad-ass red warriors of the franchise. Also Daigo is one of the greatest green warriors, heck every member is one of the best in their categories!

Gokaiger Episode 33 Review: Hero!!!!

Starting the episode off is that Gai's arm is better now and is hyper as ever. With the Zangyack Gils is so mad he cant even eat, but Barizrog sends a new commander who has an infinite stomach as he will steal all the food. Gai, Luka, and Don are out shopping for food and meet the MOTW as they try to fight him. The other three show up and use Gaoranger's powers, but Gai got distracted and got hit in the back by the monsters upchuck attack as he knocked out of his transformation and drops the Gokai Celluar. The monster also gets his food back and sallows the phone as he leaves and now Gai is unable to transform. The group say they will get it back and Gai has to take another break. Gai leaves the ship as he is depressed about losing his powers. During his time out he accidently runs into Ryou (Ryuuranger) as he talks to him about losing his powers. As Gai thinks he always wanted to be a hero and now he isnt because he cant be Gokai Silver anymore. Ryou says hes got the wrong idea as people come in about a festival or something like that as Gai leaves before Ryou finishes his thought.

The team find out that the monster appeared again as they try to catch him, but he gets the food and vanishes before they have a chance. Gai tags along still, but is sorry that they are doing this and how he cant do anything right now. Marve also says that hes got the wrong idea, but he leaves to catch the monster. Gai ends up the fest as he meets Ryou there again. Gai is wondering how Ryou is happy about not having his powers anymore and doing nothing now. As Ryou says he wants to try to be the best at making Gyoza like last time they talked. As Ryou brings up how Gai has forgotten the most important thing as the monster appears again and steals all the food. He has the grunts attack the people around as Gai jumps in and defends them. Ryou also steps in and does the out of suit role call like in the Dairanger series and he says even with powers he can still fight the enemy in front of him. As he kicks ass and Gai now sees that he doesnt need powers to be a hero as he has done it before and he joins Ryou. The two easily take out the gormins and had little difficulty taking on Sgormins, but they cant defeat the monster (darn I thought it would be a suitless victory). Well the team show up and use Gekiranger to attack his stomach which makes him upchuck and Gai gets the celluar back and fights with the team. The team use Dairanger's powers and Don got the role call wrong as he hit his hand too hard and uses Shishi Ranger's powers wrong as well (First Black Condor and now Shishi Ranger) At least the rest of them use the powers correctly and they even use the Dairen Rods. Gai uses gold mode to kill the grunts and the team use the Galleon Buster to finish the monster.

Why Don why?!

With the mecha fight the team actually have some trouble until they use Dairanger's power which uses the Qi Bomber! The attack kills the grunts and they use Hurricane Gokaioh to finish off the monster as he sallows all the Furaimaru's, but they burst through his stomach (harsh). The team regroup as they eat Ryou's Gyoza as everyone likes it and I love Joe's reaction it seems like he saw an angel or something heavenly. As Ryou tells Gai that to make sure to use those powers as a hero as everyone quickly eats the whole plate without Gai (damn they're fast). Well thats episode 33 and I love it soooooooo much! I havent seen all of Dairanger, but I know its going to be a personal favorite of mine and seeing Ryou again was awsome. What made it better was the out of suit action he gave us and did his role call. Ryou also uses different fighting techniques like Tenma and Shishi Ranger's. Also Gai himself was good because at first he already acted like a hero, but over time he started to fotget because he was just happy to be a sentai warrior. This is a personal favorite of mine and is probably the best Gai focus episode so far, I give it an A!

I also agree with Sean Akizuki, Ryou is the most badass Red Ranger!

Early Thoughts About Episode 33 Of Gokaiger

This is the tribute I cant wait for the most, Dairanger is a big favorite of mine with having a great cast of characters and imo some of the best fights in the franchise. Dairanger is known for the out of suit action it had which was awsome in many ways also it was a bloody series. Dairanger was a serious series, but it also had great comedy along with it. By the preview this episode could be my favorite episode because not only will Gai fight out of suit we will see Ryou fight along with him. I remember a lot of his out of suit fights from the series mostly with Jin. Also its awsome to see a veteran with no powers still try to take action like we have saw with Doggie (Dekamaster), the three Hurricangers, Gai Yuki (Black Condor), and Goro (Ohred). It shows that even with age they still have their experience to support them. Ryou is probably the toughest though from these guys imo because he did do some dangerous training and had issues with physical and mental strength. High chance Gai and Ryou will easily get a victory out of suit and I sooooooo cant wait for that fight. Another thing I am hoping is the references for Dairanger there will be. Too bad Kou couldnt make it I would like to see him after a couple of years.

Goakiger Guest Star Rumors

Well it seems that Gokaiger will be doing a lot more tributes in a row now, but they are rumors and there are other rumors that Gokaiger will have more than 50 episodes Also they are still rumors so they could be true or false. First is the Go-onger tribute which will be a two parter with Yasuhisa Furuhara returning as Go-on Red this will also debut the Gokai-oh and Gozyujin combination mecha. Go-onger was the first sentai I saw so I really cant wait to see this Sosuke is one of my fave red warriors. Also this will be a two parter so there leaves a lot of time to do many references to the series. Go-on Yellow did appear in both movies, but she wont appear in the series, darn.

Next is the Dairanger episode which will have Keiichi Wada play as Ryou (Ryuuranger) and another red favorite of mine. Sadly still no rumors about Yutaka returning, but he could easily do a voice role like a past villian for Liveman did in that tribute episode. If Jin is even mentioned I will be happy because so far there hasnt been any reference to Yutaka expect for Liveman talking about the friends who turned evil.

Right after Dairanger is the Kakuranger tribute having Teruaki Ogawa play another role of his as Ninja Red. I dont know much about Kakuranger, but I do have a feeling that they will make a comparison to KuroKishi for a joke since its the same actor. There could even be a chance for a Ninjaman ranger key to be introduced if possible.

I have a feeling that sword will be the power for the mecha

Next is Megaranger having Hayato Oshiba and Masaya Matsukaze to play as their roles of Megared and Megablue. I have seen over twenty episodes of this series and the team up with Carranger. It would be very cool if they use the Nejirangers for this episode because how awsome would that be. Seeing our new heroes fight an evil sentai. That would probably be very hard though to get all five voice actors though, but if it happens it would make fans happy.

Now another pre zyu sentai series tribute with Fiveman! Toshiya Fuji will return as Fivered and I saw about ten episodes of that series and I really like it. So I may not know a lot, but Fiveman is a series I want to see very badly. The fight scene will probably be awsome because the team will use the Five Tectors.

Next is a big pre zyu series Bioman with Ryosuke Sakamoto as Red One returning. I have seen a couple of episodes and I do know how big this series got with fans. It also got a lot of international fans so this will be a big episode for Gokaiger no doubt about that.

Now the 2nd sentai series will get their tribute JAKQ! With big toku star Hiroshi Miyauchi returing as Big One. I really cant wait for this episode because we will see the master of disguise at work again. Also he is a big star in the toku franchise playing as the Aoranger, Kamen Rider V3, and Zuubat. So seeing a big star like him is going to be a lot of fun.

Now this is the tribute I cannot wait for the Sun Vulcan tribute! Its another red returning, but its both of them! Yes both Ryusuke Oowashi and Takayuki Godai will return and how awsome is that both of the VulEagles will return it will be very interesting to see these two together. I do wonder though how will the fight go because Sun Vulcan only had three members. They should at least have Doc be VulPanther because seeing the three males fight it out as Sun Vulcan will be great.

Finally the last tribute that has been mentioned is Battle Fever J the thrid sentai series and the first one to have a robo. It will have Kenji Ohba who played as Battle Kenya and yes! Kenya is a favorite of mine and I so cant wait also he played as Denjiblue and Gavan the first metal hero so another big toku star will appear. for the mecha power because it will summon the Battle Fever Robo and it wont be a quick summon hopefully I want to see that robo in action because its the first robo in sentai!

So yea they took some cheap shots with using similar actors with Ninjared and Battle Kenya, but its very hard to get actors to play roles again because there could be money issues or something else with their lives. Just be happy there are even any past actors. Im also still wondering if there will be tribute for Changeman, Flashman, and Maskman because of episode 31 of Gokaiger if you saw it you know what I'm thinking about.
