My Thoughts

Everyone knows how much I am loving Wizard right now. I will say this magic is not my favorite thing in television series. I am liking how Wizard treats magic though as we say in episode 4 and 5. The use of characters is great and along with both heroes and villains. If you haven't been watching it, get on track now! Also I loved Akibaranger, it was a very funny series that picked at some of the Sentai logic. It wasn't hurtful either as it still embraced everything great about the franchise. If you love Super Sentai you would easily be laughing when you watch this show. Finally with Kamen Rider Beast being revealed doesn't mean there can't be other riders for Wizard. High chance Witch or the Shaman could be movie riders.

My Thoughts

The Gavan movie looks good to me, it's using the basics of the Metal Hero franchise and with Gavan G having a movie and appearing in Go-busters he could get a series. The Fourze episodes were good as I reviewed before and the overall series was good so I give it a watch for those interested. Fourze uses friendship in a very good way and much better than other shows I have seen with it. The cast of characters are fun to watch and even though Fourze follows Double like OOO it's a still a good show. Wizard is bringing back Kamen Rider back to some old roots and the first episode proved that. It was a single episode and there was more action, I'm not saying it's better, but it's a nice change of pace. Wizard's story is also very interesting right now and I can't wait to find out more about it.

My Thoughts

The beginning of the Gemini arc was weak because the comedy wasn't funny to me, but the second part got more serious and finally seeing the past of Gen's and Yuuki's friendship really helped the arc. I haven't gone further in Zubat since there aren't more subbed episodes out, but hey Hi No Tori is doing other things too so take your time guys I am also loving the Ultraseven series. I am hoping the new characters will improve the series since these two are great so far. They have the Yuuto and Deneb relationship that I liked a lot about Yuuto and my favorite comedic parts of the Den-o series. Hiroya was not the best actor, but he has improved no doubt over the years. It could just be this type of character is easier to do, but it has been seven years so he easily had enough time to develop. Also another heads up, when Fourze is over and when I do the series review I will be making a new list. Recently I have gotten into the rider series again and I want to make a new one. A lot of the series I ranked before were series I haven't watched for a while so going back to them helped out. So I want to make a new list because a lot of my old opinions have changed. Finally this time it will be a full list of all the rider series I have seen.

My Thoughts

I am really happy that I finally did Movie Month. First reason is that I originally did it after the promised month so I really felt like crap for that. This is the first one and I know I will do another one sometime. For the first one I picked movies that jump out of me. Gokaiger VS Gavan had Sentai with Metal Hero the first team up in both franchises so that's why I reviewed it. It was the only Sentai movie, but to be honest if I reviewed more Sentai movies it wouldn't be that positive. Kamen Rider The First was a re-telling of the original Kamen Rider story and seeing that it was like the only one I actually found in American stores was surprising. Cho Den-o and Decade is my least favorite Toku movie ever, done. (I still respect people who like this movie, it's possible. I also want to say that I am a critic and what I say is my opinion. I love comments, but there are some that are just stupid to respond to.) Accel is my favorite Kamen Rider of all time. Then I wanted to do an Ultraman movie originally, but I decided a Godzilla film for a little surprise and that franchise is what gave life to Toku. Overall I am happy that I did it and sometime this Fall will be Random Month where I will review anything with little connections to Toku and I will do one completely random countdown list.

My Thoughts

Sorry if these results came a little late, at first I wasn't looking and then whenever I tried to do it my computer started to act up. So back to the polls, first Metalix was a improvement compared to the first season of Beetleborgs as it had more progression thanks to more arc driven episodes. Like the first season though it still has useless comedic filler that is not even funny at times. I am liking the new Gavan and even though there are little changes like his eye color is blue I think there should still be more distinct things that separate him from the original Gavan. Either way I hope that Gavan G can give light back to the Metal Hero franchise (I am so hoping for a new series). I have read Spirits before online, but having an actual copy would be nice and if I could get some to be a rider fan thanks to this manga I could easily get others when I have a copy. Fourze is doing good right now, but a lot of things are being thrown right now and that is mostly because of how the show was wasting time. I am loving the twists, but some of these should have came sooner and I have a feeling the last two episodes of Fourze could be really rushed.

My Thoughts

I am very sorry since the reviews are not coming as fast, but hopefully I should be back on track. For the next episode polls I will put them up when I have actually reviewed an episode. Sadly I can't say anything on the two Akibaranger episodes since I haven't seen them. I will get to them sometime though. This also goes for Beet and Stag Busters' appearance since I haven't seen episode 15 yet. I am happy with this new format for my reviews, it is much easier to do and I don't have to leave my thoughts at the end. I am happy to see that only Goseiger will be adapted for this PR series. First it is true that Saban cannot skip a Sentai series so Gokaiger will come next time. So far there is really good news on Megaforce and I hope Saban will make this a great series. I wasn't expecting such high ratings for Beetleborgs, I know as a child I would have voted great as well. I'm older now and this series just can't hold itself together (Oh childhood memories, I ruined you). There may not be Saido, but Wizard looks awesome! I love his design as its simple and the series itself is going back to some old trends in rider series. Fourze is very different and I like some of the differences, but it is pulling some strings that are ticking people off including myself.

Let's hope Wizard doesn't suffer the same issue Fourze got when he first appeared.

Yea my break is going to come during the last week of June now since I got one less thing to juggle around. Back on topic though, I really want this to be the next rider. First it easily tributes an older toku show the Henshin Ninja. If he is the real thing I wouldn't be surprised that the secondary rider could have a bird motif or his final form can have something to do with a bird. With the design it's just awesome to look at, first the best thing is the visor. A shuriken shaped visor that is see through and the belt is a standard belt. It doesn't look like it will take multiple objects. Overall the ninja motif works greatly and I can't wait to see him in action if he is the next rider.

For me right now Fourze is having issues with their starting episodes for the 2 episode arc. The beginning has been slow and things don't feel right, but the conclusion makes it all feel better since the series actually focuses on the elements that the whole arc should be focusing on. Go-busters is still doing good with using the usual sentai episodes, but twisting them up a little. Also episode 13 review will come tomorrow in a new review format. Then there is Akibaranger and this series is just doing great for me and many other sentai fans. The two episodes have brought good focus to usual sentai like cliches and also gave light on the stunt actors for a change.

My Thoughts

First I will talk about my own Sentai. I knew there was going to be some hate around and I think I know why. It could because of the death of the leader since it never happened in a Sentai series before. That is what I want though something different, but still having tribute elements. Liveman is a dark series and I really enjoy it for that as it used dark plot twists with near perfection. Liveman is a revolutionary Sentai series and I hope it will always be remembered. For the Fourze episodes... this was probably my least fave 2-ep arc so far. Yukina was annoying and it feels odd that now we get some movement with the plot. Go-Busters episode 10 was handled very well with Hiro's sister finally seeing what the team actually does. The MOTW for that episode is the best so far and a lot of drama and action were great. For episode 11 well you will fine out what I think later today. Akibaranger is still full of laughs as episode 4 gave more focus on the parent episode, again it was following the some of the Sentai cliches, but had a different ending. For episode 5 I will post a review of that tomorrow. Next is the Magic Painter and I am happy with this idea even though they are giving five items to use in battle for his belt (Decade-1, Double-2, OOO-3, Fourze-4, and now 5). I am still happy to see that a magic rider will be appearing though as it could be a game changer for the franchise. Finally, once per every week starting June I will start Movie Month! I will review a toku movie and I will start with a recent film (hint it's with a recently ended Sentai).

My Thoughts

The Fourze episodes were very good as we get to see Aries and he was defeated quickly the arc was mostly for Ryusei to finally be a true friend. As I said about Cosmic States before, it's awesome. The design works very well and it's powers are amazing as it combine the powers of the switches to make more combinations. The Buster episodes have been good as well, but 9 was much better than some of the previous episodes as the team had way more dialogue with each other. Akibaranger also had great episodes with Ban and Chief coming back to fight along with the team. The two episodes also had tons of humor regarding the franchise and on the Japanese culture. Finally, there will be another Taisen film, but this time it won't be mixed around unlike the other film. It will use the recent rider and sentai series so there is already a much smaller cast which means more time for interesting dialogue scenes between the heroes.

Sadly the only episode that really impressed me was Akibaranger's first episode. It was really funny and unique to see a parody series of Super Sentai. For Fourze and Go-Busters they went to some cliche story telling for their episodes, but the action was pretty good.

My Thoughts

The episode arc for Meteor is probably his best so far since we see that Ryusei is acting more like a hero. Sure his sense of justice is different, but it doesn't mean he cannot let be people get hurt right in front of him. Go-Busters have been doing great with the past two episodes because episode 4 shows the intelligence of Enter as he got Enertron energy already. Episode 5 for me though was better because of Ryusei's overheat mode. That fight was really great and seeing how he finishes the creature is something I have seen in Super Sentai for a while. To be honest Meteor Storm is a great form, but the spinning top is a little silly as I said before. Then finally of course the best thing from the Taisen movie is going to be the Rider Keys I mean come on what could be better. We finally see a team made up of riders from the same series. Sure the OOO movie already did this, but this time it's going to be done in Super Sentai fashion so I'm really interested how it will work out. I am also expecting to hear Anything Goes in the background during that fight.

My Thoughts

I loved those two episodes because at first I wasn't expecting the graduation until the end, but no the series used it well for the senior characters. Shun and Miu were at their best as Miu is love struck while Shun is at first devastated by the truth. I will continue my debates, but next time I will have a voting poll up for the winner next time. I love Continue as I said before and it is so much better than the videos that get one million views.
